Two newly introduced individuals in Lake Michigan must face the challenges of their lives as they land in an unfortunate event due to a collision of (Sean Austin) Mitch’s boat with a small plane’s wreckage and losing the correct parts of the transportation he needs to head back home. When Mitch meets Kelly, playled by Chris Mulkey, a survivor of the plane crash and the pilot of the plane, they as basically in the middle of a huge area of water with no means of contact anywhere at all. Mitch helps him out generously, but Kelly doesn’t seem to be reciprocating the treatment, which thickens the film plot for the viewers. Soon, there is a mysterious backpack in Kelly’s story that also does the same. With the never ending time alone together, the two become acquainted with each other’s stories about the why, when, where, how, and what. Will the revelations help them to team up successfully to survive?
