The Dukes of Hazzard is all about the adventures of the Duke boys, these boys are cousins and are cousins Bo and Luke Duke who live in the rural part of Hazzard County. These boys are often seen driving around and racing in the infamous orange General Lee car which always had the 01 sticker on the side of it. This car was Bo and Luke’s Dodge Charger and as mentioned previously as orange and had a painted confederate battle flag on the roof of the car. The name for the car refers to the American Civil War Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

The Dukes of Hazzard also had a very well known and much loved TV theme song. This TV theme song was entitled the Good Ol Boys and was written and performed by Waylon Jennings. This character also was the narrator of the show and also played The Balladeer and was credited for this in the credits. This TV theme song also reached number one on the American Country chart and peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
