Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Is an American cartoon franchise comprising of several TV series produced from 1969 to the present day. This was created for Hannah-Barbera productions and was written by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears in 1969. The infamous series follows four meddling teenagers, Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley and Norville ‘Shaggy’ Rogers and their talking clumsy big Great Dane Scooby-Doo. All of these characters solve mysteries involving supernatural creatures through a series of hysterical comedy and use their Mystery Machine van to travel around. Also these meddling kids call themselves Mystery Inc and are somewhat associated with hippies with their painted van promoting psychedelic colours and flower power imagery.
