Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a supernatural dram which was fronted primarily by Sarah Michelle Gellar who played Buffy Summers. The series ran from the 10^th of March 1998 until the 20^th of May 2003 and was created by writer and director Joss Whedon. The premise of the programme is that the young and innocent Buffy gets chosen as a Vampire Slayer which is chosen by fate and must now protect innocent people from the vampires and demons. Buffy like every other slayer has a group of close friends who become known as the Scooby Gang.

As well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer being extremely successful with their audience, they also had one of the most recognizable instrumental TV theme songs around at the time. The theme song for Buffy the Vampire Slayer which just simply entitled The Buffy Theme and it is the music that is played alongside the opening credits. The song was played by the punk pop band Nerf Herder and contains an Organ followed by the more punk pop instruments which include rock music and guitar riffs.
