8 Mile is a 2002 American hip hop film featuring one of the greatest rappers Eminem. It stars Mekhi Phifer, Brittany Murphy, Michael Shanon, Kim Basinger all along with Eminem (Marshal Mathers) who’s screen name is Jimmy B-Rabbit Smith Jr. 8 Mile is set in Detroit, Michigan in 1995 and follows Eminems struggles to launch his rap careers in a genre completed dominated by African Americans. The reason for its title comes from the road sign which divides the inner city and upper class suburbs.
