8 Mile Theme Song
8 Mile is a 2002 American hip hop film featuring one of the greatest rappers Eminem. It stars Mekhi Phifer, Brittany Murphy, Michael Shanon, Kim Basinger all along with Eminem (Marshal Mathers) who’s screen name is Jimmy B-Rabbit Smith Jr. 8 Mile is set in Detroit, Michigan in 1995 and follows Eminems struggles to launch his rap careers in a genre completed dominated by African Americans. The reason for its title comes from the road sign which divides the inner city and upper class suburbs.

The movie theme song from the great 8 Mile movie was of course ‘Lose Yourself’ which was written and produced by Eminem (Marshal Mathers) and Jeff Bass with Luis Resto as an additional writer for the song. This song was nominated and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and Vive magazine called the film and its song a ‘hip-hop movie masterpiece’ Many people now over the world use this song as a motivational song with the England national rugby union team using it in the changing rooms as inspiration whilst getting ready for the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final.
