Created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta The Leftovers is an American drama TV series that is based on the novel of the same name by Tom Perrotta. The main stars of the show include Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler and Christopher Eccleston to name but a few. The premise for The Leftovers is that it takes place three years after a event they call the ‘Sudden Departure’ whereby 140 million people so 2% of the worlds populations simply vanishes into thin air. The story is primarily focused on the Garvey family and their friends, while each member of the family is seemingly struggling with the event in their own way.
