“The Holiday” is a romantic comedy and drama about two young career women, Amanda and Iris, who leave their residence of Surrey, London and California in the winter holidays to get over their ex-loves. Both women have personality and social issues that are unresolved due to their unstable toxic relationships. Exploring an exchange house website leads to the two far-away women discovering each other and agreeing to do the exchange just for the holidays to get away from the sadness. Both Amanda and Iris find new neighbors and friends who add nothing but positive light in their lives, but both women must carefully tread certain paths as they find single men unexpectedly in their lives.
