The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is the 2013 fantasy epic adventure movie. This movie is the prequel to the much loved epic fantasy adventure that was The Lord of the Rings. The film was preceded by ‘An Unexpected Journey’ and will be followed by ‘The Battle of the Five Armies’. In this epic movie we follow the adventure of Bilbo Baggins as he accompanies Thorin Oakenshield and other dwarves as they attempt to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. This blockbuster movie unsurprisingly has a star studded cast which include Sir Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom and Martin Freeman.
