Melissa & Joey is a ABC network, family orientated sitcom which premiered on the 17th of August 2010. The name behind this family sitcom comes from the two main starts, which of course are Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, who on here play Mel Burke and Joe Longo. The entire premise behind this brilliant show is that Joe Longo works for Mel Burke who is a politician and council woman as her nanny. Mel however lives with her niece and nephew, Lennox and Ryder Scanlon. The reason behind this living arrangement is because their father conned many people out of a lot of money including Joe Longo, this ultimately leading to Mel, Joe, Lennox and Ryder all living together. Initially there is tension but in each episode they grow as a ‘family’ and there is constant reference to the potential relationship between Mel and Joe.
