Last of the Summer Wine is a British sitcom that ran from 3rd of January 1973 all the through until the 29th of August 2010, which we have to commend is very impressive. The premise of this programme is that it centres itself around the older men. However the older men are still young boys at heart and as the viewing audience we get to see what they are like with themselves, other friends and also their female companions. As the trio of men have changed a few times to original three were Compo Simmontie, Norman Clegg and Cyril Blamire but after the actor playing Cyril fell ill he god replaced by a quirky war veteran named Walter ‘Foggy’ Dewhirst.
