How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom, romantic comedy and comedy drama that ran for 9 seasons and a total of 208 episodes. The entire series is based on a narrative in the past tense and is created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. The entire premise of How I Met Your Mother is that a future Ted Mosby voice by Bob Saget and is narrating the story of how he met his kids mother as they sit on the sofa listening intently to how their Dad Ted met their mother. It is only until the final series do we the audience find out who the Mother actually is. The show follows Ted’s friends such as long lasting couple Marshall and Lilly, womanizer Barney and News Anchor Robin.
