E.T is an American science fiction movie that is about E.T or the extended version, the extra-terrestrial. E.T the movie was released on the 11th of June 1982 and was directed by none other then Steven Speilberg who also produced it alongside Kathleen Kennedy and this much loved movie was written by Melissa Mathison. At one time, shortly after its release E.T was a blockbuster movie becoming the highest grossing film of all time, this was only passed ten years later by another Speilberg directed film Jurassic Park. The premise of this movie is that a small child named Elliot finds this alien, E.T tries to teach him English only to eventually help him and guide him back home. There is also a very famous quote from the film where E.T says ‘E.T phone home’
