Hollywood’s version of legendary Scottish hero William Wallace is set in 13th century Scotland. Triggered by personal tragedy, rebel Wallace leads the Scots against the English in order to free his homeland from the monarchy’s tyrannical leadership. Wallace wages his campaign over several years refusing to submit to the King’s will.
