Maverick and his partner Goose get sent to the elite Top Gun school where the best of the best naval fighter pilots train to hone their skills. However, his reckless ways and cocky attitude do not sit well with his instructors or his fellow pilots. Maverick must fight against the odds to prove that he belongs and did not just get a place because of his father who was also an elite pilot.
